cnc carving machine machining inner contour milling process

From: Back to list
In the daily CNC production and processing, the cnc engraving machine processes the inner contour of the workpiece in the Z direction.Compared with the processing of the outer contour, the main problem in the processing of the inner contour of the workpiece is how to perform the Z-depth cutting. By selecting different types of tools, the feed methods are also different. In the CNC machining, the inner contour plus the Z axis feed method are as follows,

1 .Vertical cutting depth infeed, when using vertical cutting depth infeed, the cutting edge process must be selected instead of using an end mill.

2. Enter the tool in the process hole.In the process of inner contour processing, sometimes it is necessary to use the end mill industry to process the inner cavity to ensure the strength of the tool.Because the end mill cannot perform vertical Z-depth cutting, it is necessary to choose The drill with a slightly smaller diameter first processes the process hole, and then uses the end mill to perform vertical Z-depth cutting.

3 .Three-axis linkage oblique cutting, when using an end mill to process the inner contour, you can also directly use the end mill to use a three-axis linear motion to feed the tool, so as to avoid the center part of the tool from participating in the cutting, but this feeding method cannot Achieve smooth transition of Z-direction feed and contour processing, which is easy to produce processing marks.

4 .Three-axis helical thread feed. Another kind of infeed method using three-axis motion is the helical feed. This feed method is easy to realize the natural smoothness of Z-direction feed and contour processing. The tool joints in the machining process are generated, so the infeed method is widely used in manually programmed inner contour milling.
